Born and bred in Singapore. I received my PhD in biology (specialising in infectious diseases) from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, in 2017. While a graduate student, I began writing science articles for the public and developed a taste for science communication. This ultimately led me to change my career trajectory from researcher to science writer. I joined the French non-profit Science Feedback in 2018 as an editor covering health claims online. Along the way, I picked up some OSINT skills through the DFRLab's Digital Sherlocks programme, which I joined in 2020. On top of writing articles evaluating the scientific credibility of online health claims, I've also written articles analysing and uncovering online actors spreading mis- and disinformation.
